Sega’s set to unveil Project Needlemouse which we suspect will be called Sonic the Hedgehog 4 tomorrow. But in the meantime, Sega’s slipped out a slice of the new Sonic game’s soundtrack.
Sega’s stingy 9-second teaser definitely recalls the game music from classic Sonic titles but it’s not much to go on when it comes to guessing what Sonic the Hedgehog 4’s gameplay will be like.
However, Sega has also revealed two new pieces of artwork featuring two classic bits of Sonic level architecture – the revolving sunflower and the palm tree. If your dreams are still troubled by visions of the Green Hill Zone, you’ll remember them fondly.
We noted earlier in the week that Sega has nabbed sonicthehedgehog4.com and with Thursday the official unveiling day for whatever its been tinkering with under the Project Needlemouse codename. We’ve been led to believe it’ll be a return to Sonic’s heritage. Let’s hope so.
