Fujifilm FinePix HS10 unveiled: ultra zoom and HD video on board

The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 might not be the first camera with an epic 30x optical zoom we’ve seen today, but this one’s got the kit to match Olympus’ perfect Paparazzo shooter and then some. Read on for all the details.

The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 bridge camera comes with a 10 megapixel CMOS sensor and 3-inch LCD panel on the back, but its big selling points are the enormous 24-720mm, 30x optical zoom lens and stunning video recording skills.

The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 can shoot in both 720p and full 1080p HD at a smooth 30 frames per second, and if you’re prepared to drop the resolution, it’ll even film at a super slow mo 1000 frames per second.

The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 also shoots RAW files and can reel off 10 frames per second still shooting, and once you’re done, you can feed everything back to your TV via HDMI out.

The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 ship at the beginning of April for shade under £400, so come Easter, a difficult decision is going to have to be made.

This could be the best camera ever for travelers, if it performs as good as it looks on paper!
That lens and full HD would be great for catching those special moments in a far off land, and no extra lenses to worry about! (plus the sensor stays clean)
I’m seriously considering it as a replacement for my aging Minolta A200, if the picture quality equals it, then the added extras will be well worth the change, hopefully nearly 4 years of advanced technology and materials, will mean an improvement.
I have never seen such a buzz about a single camera model that wasn’t a DSLR before, and before it’s even released!, if this becomes the flagship for Fuji, and they listen to consumers to improve it in future models, this could put a serious dent in DSLR sales!
    Long live the Bridge camera!!

I hear ya David!. I’m not anywhere near being a pro photographer, infact im just simply a mother who loves to take pics of her children and enjoys taking amazing snaps when were on our holidays. Yet this camera seems to have caused some stirring in the world of photography and outside of it. My old little camera decided to break down but wasn’t worth getting fixed so I visited a camera website and used their camera selector option, and this was the first camera it selected for me. I saw the price and almost ignored it but then the 30x zoom caught my attention, i read on about the specs etc and was almost blown away by what i can acutally get and do with this little thing for what now seems like a small price.

Im just gutted i have to wait a few weeks to buy it. I know i will get some amazing images of my family with this camera and i can’t wait until we go on holiday so i can finally take some decent scenery pictures, i just hope the image quality doesn’t let it down.
