We could see the Scosche kickBACK stand being useful enough for anyone who wants to use their Apple iPad as photo frame at home, but the Scosche kickBACK makes clever use of the slate’s accelerometer and can be flipped over, so the stand uses a shallow angle instead, which should make typing easy without having to hold the iPad.

The Scosche kickBACK stand itself is made from shatterproof polycarbonate and rubber hybrid, though we wouldn’t expect the iPad inside it to survive any big falls – that’s what the rubber moulded gris on the back of the stand are to prevent.
