The Apple iPad was only unveiled last night, but already the iPod accessory crowd is cranking out extra gear for the slate, including Griffin, which has just revealed its first line of cases headed for the UK.
We’re not huge fans of sticking iPhones in clunky cases, but we can see the need for something as large and delicate as the Apple iPad, especially since you’ll be stashing it in your bag more often. Griffin’s got you covered there with two leather-like cases, the Elan Sleeve and Elan Folio for the Apple iPad, as well as Griffin Jumper neoprene sleeve with a lid that closes over your Apple iPad completely.

Griffin has also outed the FlexGrip, a bright silicon skin for the Apple iPad in blue, white, black and purple. Finally, there’s also the Griffin Screen Care Kit for iPad, which is a cleaning cloth you can buy elsewhere, and more usefully, a perfectly size screen protector.
Griffin says all of its Apple iPad accessories will go on sale in the UK. The company wouldn’t give any solid details about a potential Griffin keyboard dock similar to Apple’s, but a spokesperson said it was a “possibility as they are looking into a wide variety of accessories for Apple’s new iPad”. In the meantime, look for these five when the Apple iPad ships in March.
