The Motorola Zeppelin is the latest leaked smartphone to come creeping out early, but unlike an aluminium Android HTC phone, we’re not greeting this one with open arms. Just when we thought Moto had got back to its feet and dusted itself off, it’s gone back to its old ways. Is this uglier than the T-Mobile G1?
Mobile-Review shows this snapshot of one ugly phone. It’s not the previous Motorola Zeppelin which later turned out to be called the XT800, but a newer, lower spec affair with a 3.2-inch 320×480 screen, five megapixel camera, HSPA, Wi-Fi and a trackpad underneath. This Motorola Zeppelin will also supposedly run the company’s custom Android social networking skin, Motoblur.

Really though, we expect better from Motorola than this bezelicious chunk of cheap. While the Motorola Milestone’s design wasn’t for everyone, there’s no doubt it was unusually bold and striking. This Motorola Zeppelin on the other hand looks like every mistake the company’s made since its RAZR glory days, even if it does run Android. Back to the drawing board, guys.
