Pentax Optio H90: Eye-Fi compact with a touch of class

The Pentax Optio H90 compact camera has just been unveiled, and it brings backs some ace old school style to go with its sharp image sensor and Eye-Fi wireless picture slinging skills. Read on for the details and the pictures.

While the likes of Samsung insist on pushing out compact cameras with monstrous screens, the kitchen sink and ugly shells nowadays, Pentax has gone a much smarter route with the cheap and cheery 12.1 megapixel Pentax Optio H90. Sure, it still shoots 720p HD video, but it’s that two shade, 1980s design we’re all about.

Pentax K-x DSLR debuts

The Pentax Optio H90 also manages to stuff in a 5x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD screen, auto face detection, shake reduction and Eye-Fi optimisation, so you won’t have any troubles letting your pictures slide effortlessly into the cloud in a Wi-Fi hotspot with the right memory card.

The Pentax Optio H90 is out next month for the tidy sum of £129.99, but that’s not all Pentax has up its sleeves. Also announced are the classy looking Pentax Optio I-10, again with a 5x zoom, HD video recording and 12.1 megapixel sensor, but DSLR infused retro looks, and the 10.1 megapixel Pentax Optio E90, which runs off two AA batteries.

All three are out next month with the Pentax Optio H90 hitting at £129.99, the I-10 at £199.99 and budget E90 at just £79.99. Get a good look at them all in our gallery right here.
