The Panasonic DMC-TZ10 is a slick new compact Pan’s just outed that makes Pentax’s latest fashionistas look decidedly low tech. It may not have retro chic, but it does have 720p video recording, and GPS for geotagging too. Read on for the pics and juicy details.
If you’re in line for a handy new compact camera, you’d do well tot kA a gander at the Panasonic DMC-TZ10. It’s got a 12x optical zoom, 720p video recording skills and mini-HDMI to hook straight into your TV, and a 3-inch LCD screen.
The 12.1 megapixel Panasonic DMC-TZ10 also shoves in GPS so you can log where every snap was taken, and while there’s price announced just yet, we’d be tempted to hold back a few weeks to see what it’ll set you back when it ships in March.

Also announced alongside the Panasonic DMC-TZ10 is the slightly lower spec 12.1MP Panasonic DMC-TZ8, which drops the screen size to 2.7-inches, GPS and HDMI socket.
You’ll also soon be able to pick up the rugged Panasonic DMC-FT2, with 14.1 megapixels, 720p video shooting, 4.6x optical zoom and some rugged credentials: 10m waterproof, and shock and freezeproofing too if you plan to bounce it around in a chiller cabinet. If that’s not your cup of tea, there’s also the Panasonic DMC-ZX3, a similar 14.1MP shooter but without the brawny case. We know, Panasonic doesn’t like to keep things simple.
The whole raft of new Panasonic cameras, including the Panasonic DMC-TZ10, will support the new SDXC memory card format, so if you fancy future proofing yourself, take a look at the pictures in our gallery now, and that March launch window will arrive before you know it.
