Assassin’s Creed 2 is finally making its way to PCs, cramming in the two upcoming console DLC episodes, Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities. Plus there’s cryptic news of a PC version of the Black Edition.

Assassin’s Creed 2 will hit PCs on March 16 for £30. The inclusion of the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities (which will wing their way to consoles later this month) almost makes up for the delay in getting Ezio’s adventures to PC gamers.

If you’re rocking a machine with at least 1.5GB of RAM, Windows XP (32-64bit), 8GB of spare hard drive space and a 256MB DirectX 9 compliant graphics card, you’ll be able to play Assassin’s Creed 2 on PC. But for best results you’ll probably want a slightly more pimped up machine.

Ubisoft has also announced that PC gamers will get a special Black Edition of Assassin’s Creed 2. Ubisoft was  vague about what extras that might deliver, referring only to “additional content”.

The console Black Edition of Assassin’s Creed 2 features bonus missions as well as an Ezio figure and limited edition packaging. Play.com lists identical content for the PC Black Edition at £299.99. It is currently sold out.
