Could we see the first Nokia Cseries phones launching on Tuesday? Reports suggest that Nokia has a launch planned for the 26th, just one day before Apple’s big prezzer, and rumours point to the new range finally being revealed.
Cast your mind back to last July, when we saw Nokia file trademarks for both Xseries and Cseries phones. Nokia outed the new Xseries line of music phones shortly after, but we’ve yet to hear a peep from Espoo about a Cseries ranged.
That could be about to hang though, as industry insider Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review now says that “Nokia will unveil some new phones” on 26 January. And on the forum of the same site, mysterious images of the supposed phone’s spec sheet at an Indonesion government body suggest one may be called the Nokia C5, packing HSDPA and Bluetooth, while more forum talk suggests a Nokia C3, with Wi-Fi as well, is coming.
Mystery Nokia Cseries range primed
It’s not clear what the selling point of a Nokia Cseries line would be – the C could potentially stand for camera, as we have heard rumours of a 12 megapixel Nokia cameraphone – but either way, given Murtazin’s previous track record at leaking Nokia news early, we’d watch out for more come Tuesday.
