The Google Nexus One doesn’t land on Vodafone here in the UK for a little while yet, but we’ve gone and jumped the queue and snagged one for ourselves. See it up close in our gallery right here!
We had a quick play with the Google Nexus One back at CES earlier this month, but now we’ve landed HTC and the big G’s concoction here in the UK. The version we’ve got doesn’t have multitouch (We’re confirming now if it will do when it ships) but that teflon case feels as perfect as ever, and the gorgeous OLED screen on the Google Nexus One is a pleasure to look at too. The animated homescreens are a vain but beautiful touch, and we’re not seeing any of the 3G issues that have caused complaints in the US.

We’re still not sold on the tiny trackball on the Google Nexus One, especially now a version with an optical trackpad is approaching release, but it’s definitely shaping up to be the finest Google phone out there right now.
