The 9-inch, touchscreen Asus DR-950 e-reader is due out in April, we’ve confirmed. Asus is currently shopping around for content partners, but with 2 or 4GB or internal storage, Wi-Fi and 3G, this is one well specced digital tome they’d be fools to turn down – unless they’re waiting on the colour version due at the end of the year.

Asus hasn’t set a definite RRP for the Asus DR-950 e-reader, but told us that it was aiming in the region of £250, including VAT. Not bad, and potentially preferable to importing a Kindle DX, but we’ll withold judgment until we get a full hands-on.
