Sony TransferJet wireless picture slinging could make a Cyber-shot camera an essential upgrade for you when the tech arrives here in the UK. If you were worried about price however, there’s good news: the first Sony TransferJet memory card has popped up for pre-order, and the levy you’ll be paying on top is cheaper than we expected.
Head on over to the official Sony Style US site right now and you’ll see that an 8GB Sony TransferJet Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo card is up for pre-order, priced at $99.99 (about £60) and due 8 February. A non Sony TransferJet PRO-HG Duo card of the same size costs $69.99 (£41) on the same site. In other words? For Sony TransferJet tech on your camera memroy card, you’re looking at an approximate $30 (£19) extra on top – a fairly reasonable surcharge.
We spoke to Sony UK about a release for the Sony TransferJet card here in Britain, but a spokesperson could not provide any details on a potential launch. We’ll keep an eye on the Sony Style UK site for you, but fingers crossed the price won’t be too eye watering when it makes it across the pond.
