Samsung WB650 camera: hands-on photos!

The Samsung WB650 compact camera with GPS and an OLED screen only got outed just this morning, but we’ve swung a hands-on with the point and shoot already. Want to see it up close? Read on for the piccies!

Holding the 12.2 megapixel Samsung WB650 in your palms, you can tell it’s one handy compact to have slung in your pocket. Despite an astronomical 15x optical zoom, it’s a slim, light shooter, and one happily untouched by gimmicky touchscreen controls. Instead, there’s a 3-inch OLED panel on the back, which gives you rich, deep colour and a much better sense of how your snaps will actually turn out when blown up to full size.

The Samsung WB650′s other claim to fame is GPS built in, so you can geotag where in the world your snaps were taken for online upload, just as you can with a smartphone.

We didn’t get a chance to test out the Samsung WB650′s image taking skills properly, but you can bet we’ll be coming back for round two and a full review soon. In the meantime, check out our Samsung WB650 pics right here in our gallery.
