The Samsung HMX-S16 is one of the most feature filled pocket HD camcorders we’ve ever seen, bursting to the brim with a big optical zoom, massive solid state drive and Wi-Fi. We’ve just gone hands-on with the little video box, so read on for the photos!
We still love the feel of Sanyo‘s latest dual camera over the Samsung HMX-S16, but considering all the kit it stuffs in, it’s one easy to carry, easy to use camcorder. It’s big, yes, and won’t fit in even the baggiest of pockets, but it’s light, the 15x optical zoom is suitably telescopic for part time paps, and the 3.5-inch touchscreen controls are easy to use.
Samsung WB650 OLED camera: hands-on photos!
The Samsung HMX-S16 shoots full 1080p at a smooth 30 frames per second and stashes them on 64GB of SSD. You can play your vids back via HDMI out, but the Samsung HMX-S16 also packs in DLNA certified Wi-Fi to stream them wirelessly to DLNA friendly TVs.
Unfortunately, the Samsung HMX-S16 doesn’t hit shops for another five months, but you can get an early gawp with our hands-on gallery right here.
