The Nintendo DSi XL is just around the corner, but if you want a handheld that’s less chunky and a tad more colourful, the Japanese game giant has another option for you now: a pink Nintendo DSi. And yes, it’s to tie in with Valentine’s day.
If you just can’t wait for the Nintendo DSi XL, due 5 March, you’ll be able to nab a pink Nintendo DSi if black, white, red or blue just don’t cut it. The pink Nintendo DSi is clearly aimed at a female audience as it comes bundled with fashion game Nintendo Presents Style Boutique, but the February 12 launch date suggests the company’s counting on these being given as gifts come the 14th.

In brighter news, Nintendo has also given the immensely cool, limited edition black Wii a stay of execution on shop shelves for a while longer, so if you’ve not managed to bag one yet, we suggest you go for that over a pink Nintendo DSi.
