We knew Nokia was giving Symbian a major facelift already, but now it’s back with another batch of concept screens, showing us just what to expect, and it wants your input!
Nokia has just posted a concept proposal for how Symbian^4, as the new version coming next year is referred to, will look. There’s a lot here drawn from Android and iPhone OS, but refreshingly the company admits that.
You’ve still got Nokia’s recognisable fonts, but you’ll also notice there’s now a homescreen with widgets and multiple pages and a tray for apps, just like Android, and a “flattened application library” like the iPhone, except alphabetically sorted.
