Google Nexus OneThe Google Nexus One has only been on sale for little over a week, but the search giant has already dropped the price of it in the US for upgraders on T-Mobile. Could we a similar drop when it arrives on Vodafone here in the UK?

The Google Nexus One is already available to buy on T-Mobile in the US for $179 (£110), but for those looking to upgrade from their current phone, it costs $379 (£230) – only $160 (£100) less than a full SIM-free version at $529 (£325). However, that price has already been slashed down to $279 (£170), with those who already upgraded being given a $100 (£60) refund.

Google Nexus One: hands-on photos

You can already ship a SIM-free Google Nexus One over to the UK, but if you’re holding out for a network subsidy, it’s potentially promising for a good deal on a Vodafone Nexus One. Sadly, there’s still no date for the Google Phone’s launch in Britain, with the Big G Simply promising it’s “Coming soon.” We’ll pipe up with all the pricing and launch details as soon as they’re known.
