Nintendo DSi XL The Nintendo DSi XL is on sale to all those in Japan with giant hands already, but the upscaled handheld’s just been given a release date for the UK and Europe. Want to know when it is? Read on…

You’ll be able to get the Nintendo DSi XL, sporting twin 4.2-inch screens, new colours and a chubby stylus, from 5 March here in Blighty. Nintendo hasn’t revealed a price for the jumbo games console however, but we’re hopeful it’s not much more than the current DSi, itself something of a hard sell over the classic DS Lite.

Nintendo DSi XL: UK first look

No UK retailers have listed the Nintendo DSi XL for pre-order just yet, but it’ll be an interesting litmus test to see how successful Nintendo’s bid to widen the audience for gaming has been. Will you be lining up for a Nintendo DSi XL come release day? Will your gran? Rest assured we’ll be, so stay tuned for plenty more Nintendo DSi XL coverage in the run up to launch.
