Sam and MaxSam & Max or Monkey Island fan but frustrated that you can’t get the retro goodness on your Mac? Your point and click woes could be over next month. Telltame Games, the company behind those titles, is rumoured to be ready to bring its catalogue to Macs. Are Sam & Max about to hit the road on your Macbook?

Gamertell claims that a reliable source has told it that Telltale Games is set to reveal ports of its titles to Mac OS X in time for MacWorld next month.

As well as the whispers from its source, Gamertell points to a post on Telltale Games’ own forums from someone claiming to be a former employee. ‘Emily, Formerly of the Telltale Team’ says: “Telltale has *a lot* of Mac users in the company [who are] very interested in porting Sam & Max to the Mac.”

Telltale has been bringing Sam & Max and Monkey Island back to life with new episodic versions as well as Monkey Island’s appearance on the iPhone. Bringing the games to the Mac, along with others like Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, Bone and Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures, sounds like a good move.
