Microsoft has a new Halo project in the works. How do we know? Someones been scrutinising Microsoft’s jobs pages again. Some positions related to Microsoft’s Halo portal, Halo Waypoint, but others refer to a mysterious new project…
Seeking new software developers, Microsoft promises the chance to work on a “new experience in the Halo universe”. It’s also seeking animators, artists and producers for the new project.
One of the ads went into even more detail: “Do you love Halo? Do you want to be part of the creation of a new game in the Halo universe? [We’re] looking for a talented, experienced development lead to help create the next generation of Halo tools and technical infrastructure.”
With Project Natal due in Winter 2010, could Microsoft be working on a new version of its killer franchise to work with the motion sensing tech? It’s possible. But it may also be a follow up to Halo: ODST or the forthcoming Halo: Reach.
Do you have an appetite for more Halo games or are you positively stuffed after so many tales of Master Chief and pals?
