Qualcomm Teleepoch WMDP: world's smallest buttonless phone

We usually love Qualcomm’s madcap ideas when it wheels them out at tradeshows, but the Teleepoch WMDP might need a bit more time brewing in R&D. Yes, you can control it without any buttons whatsoever, but tilting to shuffle all the way through your address book might not be the best way to go about things.

The Qualcomm Teleepoch WMDP (Which stands for Wearable Modular Device Phone) is a bonkers little mobile with Qualcomm’s minuscule wireless chip in. It opens up like a flip phone, but for no apparent reason: it has no buttons, and the only way you can dial a number is by porting it in as a contact through the mini USB port first. And then tilting the phone to scroll through every name in your address book.

And it gets worse: the Qualcomm Teleepoch WMDP has a battery life of just seven hours. Standby. Teleepoch, which partnered with chip giant Qualcomm in making it, has plans to release this clip-on cellie in China, but don’t expect it over here anytime soon. Is that for the best? Decide for yourself with our up close gallery!
