Fancy a universal remote with a touchscreen? Want some OLED in there too? You want the Pro Control Pro-24.Z, and you can have one: it’s coming to the UK.
Tucked away in a quiet corner on the CES show floor, we stumbled across the Pro Control Pro-24.Z. It’s a universal remote which will learn infra red commands for a ton of gadgets around your home from TV to sound systems and lighting, but it’s got a slick OLED display on top too, which will let you summon a channel just by prodding its icon.
The Pro Control Pro-24.Z also comes with a RF control dock – you don’t need one, but if you plug it in you can command your gizmos without the need for line of sight, but our favourite twist is the bundled Windows software, which lets you create your own icon menus with simple drag and drop actions.
You could even create a menu screen with all the UK channel icons in this way, but you won’t need to: the Pro Control Pro-24.Z is coming to the UK in the late Summer, for the equivalent of $349 (£220), so keep an eye out for it then, and in the meantime, get a good gawp with our hands-on sesh right here.
