The week is almost over and what a week it’s been with flurries of tech news from CES 2010 and real flurries of snow covering Britain. As we slip slide into Friday afternoon, here’s your round-up of this morning’s tech news, the Lunchtime Lowdown…
First up, Sony Ericsson’s next Android phone seems to have broken cover. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is a smaller, touchscreen handset with a cute codename to boot. The combing of Apple’s patent filings continues. Today sees one marked “Apple Macbook Tablet”. It seems as if the multitouch touchscreen methods detailed in it might actually be used for future iPod Touch, iPhone and Macbook models. Finally this morning, we took at look at Intel’s new netbook app store. The Intel AppUp store features apps for Windows netbooks but could be set to come to a range of other devices.
