Google ChromeGoogle Chrome for Mac doesn’t have Extensions yet though the Chrome loving PC users do. That set to change soon and extensions for Google Chrome for Mac have just got a step closer. Google’s fully added them to Chromium, the Mac developer build of the browser.

Extensions are already available to Windows users and Firefox lovers have had its equivalent Add-Ons for years. Extensions add different services and new functions to the Google Chrome, so it makes sense that Mac heads are gagging for them to be added to Google Chrome for Mac. It needs them to be a real Firefox fighter.
Chromium has technically supported Extensions for a while but you weren’t able to install them from the Google Chrome Extensions gallery where developers post their creations. But now, if you go to Google’s early release page, you can grab the developer version of Google Chrome for Mac with support for Extensions now.
There are obviously nowhere near as many Extensions for Google Chrome as there are Add-Ons for Firefox but that’s likely to change. Extensions for Google Chrome for Mac’s consumer beta version are on the way but Google isn’t willing to say when yet.
