Asus Waveflace in the flesh!

Asus Waveface sent our eyebrows skyward earlier this week, but while at first we thought it was all CGI concept stuff, it turns out Asus has built some of it for real. Want to see Asus Waveface in the flesh? Read on, and check out our photos.

Asus Waveface isn’t so much a product as an idea: Asus wants to make gadgets that sense your emotions, and interact with your every day life.

There’s a Waveface Ultra wearable smartphone. It’s a flexible bracelet that’ll wrap around your list, make calls and access the internet. It can be flattened out into a tablet too. Asus says it’ll access relevant information depending on GPS, or what you’re doing at the time.

There’s also a Waveface laptop, dubbed the Waveface Light, which works with the Waveface Ultra phone to sync your activities, calendar and other information. It too can be flattened out into a large tablet, and used by more than one person at once.

Lastly, there’s the Waveface Casa, a gigantic TV that’ll use Waveface tech to sense your emotions as you watch the gogglebox, work with motion controls and tie in to social networks. It’s Project Natal on steroids.

Of course, it’s all pie in the sky at the moment. Asus doesn’t know what materials it’ll use to make its Waveface dreams a reality yet. But that hasn’t stopped it cooking up some physical prototypes. See them in our photos above.
