Google Nexus One hands-on photo overload!

The Google Nexus One has finally landed in our paws, after a month of Google and HTC looking sheepish and pretending the stunning Android phone didn’t exist. The OLED touchscreen blower is every bit as gorgeous as the rumours proclaimed: read on to see it up close.

With a five megapixel camera, Snapdragon processor and lavish OLED screen, the Google Nexus One is by far the best looking Android phone yet. It’s sans keyboard, which was the weakest point of the Motorola Milestone, so it’s not lugging any extra bulk, and Android 2.1 looks lovely. The rippling wallpapers and menus that fade in dazzle, and really make Android look like the rival to iPhone OS it now is.

If there’s one downer, the trackball on the Google Nexus One is still as bobbly as the HTC Hero’s, but we can forgive all when it’s coated in smudgeproof teflon. Check it out up close in our gallery and look for it to arrive on our shores shortly, SIM-free and with Vodafone.
