Android Vega tabletCould T-Mobile be the first network to sell the Vega Android tablet, due to be launched at CES 2010? The 3G fuelled slate is expected to be fully unveiled and detailed later this week at the Las Vegas gadget expo, but we’ve just received word that the network is cooking up an announcement with Vega maker ICD. One and the same, per chance?

We’ve heard that T-Mobile UK and Innovative Converged Devices will be unveiling a new tablet at CES tomorrow. While we can’t confirm that this is indeed the 15-inch Android Vega tablet ICD has been working on and flogging to networks around the world for monthly mobile broadband access with it, we know the Vega was due to be unleashed here too.

If you’re in need of a refresh, the Android Vega tablet is a slick touchscreen slate with 3G, Wi-Fi and NVIDIA Tegra graphics to churn through HD video without a problem, as well as a magnetic charging base. We’ve actually gone hands-on with the ICD tablet before, but when it was running fugly, if perfunctory, Windows CE.

We don’t know yet what operating system a T-Mobile ICD tablet will run, but given T-Mo’s penchant for Android (It bagged the first Android phone ever, the T-Mobile G1), don’t be too surprised if it winds up being Google infused. Expect an official unveiling tomorrow – Apple, you may have your work cut out for you.
