Microsoft Xbox Live  looks set to hit Windows Mobile if the big M’s own job postings are to be believed. It seems they’re looking for a program manager and software test engineer to work on the project.

The two  Microsoft  job postings are pretty clear about what it’s planning. The first for a Principal Program Manager states that they’re needed to “bring Xbox Live enabled games to Windows Mobile.”

The ad goes on to suggest that Microsoft wants to bring Xbox Live avatars and its social features to Windows Mobile. The software test engineer vacancy goes on to suggest that Microsoft wants to bring a full-on gaming experience to Windows Mobile handsets.

An interesting titbit, is a refence to “multi screen experiences” which could suggest a new feature allowing you to use the screen on your Windows Mobile to show extra game info.

Bringing Xbox Live to Windows Mobile is likely to be quite time consuming, so it’s likely to be a feature in Windows Mobile 8 or possibly as an update to Windows Mobile 7 which is due to appear by the end of this year.

Due TBA | £TBA |  Microsoft  (via Information Week )

I think multi-screen experiences is Microsoft’s rather convoluted way of saying they want to create the same experience on PC, Mobile and TV, rather than it actually being a feature of an upcoming Xbox Live/WM implementation.
