This isn’t the first time Asus has used Bamboo to craft a finger-tinglingly tactile laptop, but the latest version is the slickest yet. Clad in eco-friendly bamboo, it begs to be fondled, and packs a ton of eye-catching design touches too.
The Asus U53 Bamboo packs more than a good looking shell though. Inside are Core i5 processors, and USB 3.0 connectivity.
Asus says the U53 Bamboo is warm to the touch, while rival computers made from aluminium are icy cold… at least, when they’re first switched on.
We’re not sure we completely buy that last bit, but there’s something about the U53 Bamboo that makes us want to touch it. The wooden trackpad is a neat touch, and keeps the whole shebang looking slick and well put-together.
