BlackBerry’s getting well and truly down to business at CES 2010. It’s shying away from media mad mobiles and going back to its roots as the businessman’s trusty friend with the clever new BlackBerry Presenter.
This neat new Bluetooth add-on hooks up to projectors, letting you take charge of PowerPoint powwows without having to break out your laptop. Once you’ve plugged the Blackberry Presenter in, you can see slides on your BlackBerry, using your phone as a remote to flick to your next pertinent point and keep an eye on any additional notes.

RIM says the BlackBerry Presenter has a thirty foot range over Bluetooth, so you can mooch about meeting rooms emoting without losing your hook up. However, there’s one small snag. It costs $199 (£160) in the US, and although no UK price has been confirmed, it won’t be cheap.
Still, if you’re a road warrior and BlackBerry addict, the BlackBerry Presenter could just be the gadget to usher in an age when your lappie stays at home. At 140g and 0.9 inches thin, it weighs a darn sight less than even the lightest netbook.
