We’ve just been slapping our digits all over the new Asus NX90, crafted from polished aluminium and packing a sound system by Bang & Olufsen, it’s more than a little special, and more than a little prone to fingerprints.
The Asus NX90 is a 17 inch beast, geared up towards multimedia and films. Its quirky design looks odd at first, with the speakers jutting outwards from the screen, extending beyond the base.
Up close though, it’s a neat design, with a 16:9 screen up front and dual trackpads either side of the keyboard, to cater for lefties as well as right handed owners.
The polished aluminium shell of the Asus NX90 is, however, a fingerprint magnet. The display model we scoped just after Asus’ CES press conference was plastered with prints, and undergoing constant buffing between photo sessions.
It’s also on the pricey side of expensive at $2,500 or £1,560 in proper money. For that price, we hope it comes with a chamois leather.
