Sam and Max, everyone’s favourite psychotic bunny and sardonic dog will be back in 2010. Telltale Games has slung up a teaser site that says a new Sam & Max game will be released in 2010.
The new Sam & Max title is likely to be Season 3 of Telltale’s episodic adventures starring the animal detectives. The new site’s starry theme and a glimpse of a Max-style spaceship suggests their investigations are going inter-stellar.
The narration on the Sam & Max trailer site also makes reference to “a power-mad gorilla pitted against a canine detective and a sociopathic bunny with psychic powers.” So we can expect the duo’s new nemesis to be some form of angry ape.
There’s also a reference to the player being in control which could be a hint that Telltale is going to make Season 3 of Sam & Max’s adventures the first to ditch the cursor based control system.
Signing up to the site also gives you the chance to download a free Christmas themed game – Sam & Max: Ice Station Santa – but if you’ve got a Mac you’re out of luck as the game is purely for PCs.

Microsoft is apparently feeling a little tetchy about Apple. A report in a German newspaper suggests Microsoft Germany banned journalists from mentioning Apple during a press event.
According to German publication Handelsblatt, a journalist at the Windows 6.5 event was given a severe talking to by a Microsoft PR person after talking about just how much he loves his iPhone.
9to5Mac’s (admittedly rusty translation) says: “While at a Windows 6.5 demonstration in Munich, Germany, a journalist was warned by a Microsoft spokesman not to mention or use Apple products since it was a Microsoft event. The journalist had previously told everyone that he had never owned an easier to use cell phone than the iPhone.”
We’d probably agree with him. But maybe Microsoft should have offered him an HTC HD2 for comparison.

Google Chrome has just gained another ad which Google hopes will promote its unique features. What’s different? Google Chrome’s digital smarts are celebrated with completely analogue animation.
Click the video above and you’ll see Google Chrome rendered in a series of mad inventor style contraptions. Each segment discusses a different Google Chrome feature – speed, security, themes, omnibox, incognito, stability and new tab.
Our favourite part of the video is the knitted Google Home screen that opens a knitted Youtube page showing someone knitted. It’s almost brain achingly meta.
If you haven’t downloaded Google Chrome or Google Chrome for Mac yet, does this analogue ad make you want to?

Google has announced a new one-click export option for Google Docs to allow you to grab all your data in one go.
Up until now, Google Docs would only let you grab your data one document at a time which was tedious and time consuming.
Now Google has added a featured called Convert, Zip and Download. It allows you to select some or all of your Google Docs (up to 500MB), convert them and  stuff them into one .zip file.
The new Google Docs feature is nestled under More Options on the home page. Click there and select Export. You’ll then be led through the process to convert your documents (formats include PDF, Excel, plain text and Word).
This is a good move from Google, allowing you to simply take your data elsewhere if you want to and back it up locally if you’re not comfortable having it all just crammed in the cloud.
