The Singstar franchise has become a pop-themed behemoth in recent years, sating karaoke addicts in much the same way rockers flock to Guitar Hero. The latest version, Singstar Take That, puts everyone’s favourite boy band to the fore. But is it a winner or will your pals butchering Never Forget cause the neighbours to call the noise police? Read our Singstar Take That review and we’ll reveal all.
There’s not much difference between Singstar Take That and the regular versions of the game. While it’s branded with Manchester’s finest faces and comes preloaded with 25 of their songs, you can still grab over 1,000 more from the Singstar store, accessed via your PS3.
Even the very worst singers can get to grips with Singstar Take That. Unlike its instrument based cousins, Singstar has never been harsh on players and you’ll get cheers aplenty even while the likes of Patience go from pop gold to X Factor audition levels of disaster.
Like all Singstar games, this is very much for those who love a sing song on a night in. Singstar Take That will satisfy the biggest fans of the band only, but that’s not to say it’s not great at a party. Personally, we prefer the likes of DJ Hero and Beatles Rock Band, but Singstar Take That is surprisingly neat.
