TwemoteEndemol, the makers of Big Brother, have launched their Twemote Twitter app which allows you to tweet along to and find tweets about your favourite TV shows. We revealed that the production company was set to launch a Twitter app last month but it’s now gone live on the web and as a free iPhone app.

Both the Twemote web app and iPhone give you access to the TV schedule. When you find a show you want to tweet about, you simply select it and start tweeting. Twemote will automatically tag your tweets with the relevant hashtag to share them with other Twitterers.

Twemote also lets you filter tweets to just show those about a particular show or to focus entirely on commentary from people on your friends list.

Twitter app will show you a schedule of upcoming shows and automatically add the relevant hashtag to your tweets about that show. Twemote’s schedule gives you now and next programme information for over 30+ channels including all the main terrestrial and Freeview channels as well as Sky Sports, Sky News and Sky One.

X-Factor may not have come to an end but Endemol is gearing up for the launch of the final Channel 4 version of Celebrity Big Brother. Expect Twemote to be promoted heavily and to see your Twitter feed filling up with perfectly hashtagged thoughts on the goings on in the Big Brother house.

If you don’t want to go with Twemote, check out the competition – Frog Design’s TV Twitter app and the big daddy, Tweetdeck.
