FoursquareFoursquare has added extra Facebook integration to allow you to share every time you check in to a venue with the location-aware social networking app. But if you’re already sharing your tweets and your blog posts, won’t that just be confusing?

Foursquare recently added a host of new cities to make it interesting for more than just the social media obsessed folk in London. Now it’s sidled up to Facebook and added a feature to share check-ins, mayorships and badges on your profile.

The new Facebook integration only works on Blackberry and Google Android phones at the moment but iPhone users will get the feature when Apple approves Foursquare’s 1.4.3 version of its iPhone app. In the meantime you can get to the feature through Safari.

To activate the new Facebook sharing feature, just login to Foursquare and authorise Facebook Connect to delve into your  activity and post it to your profile. It’ll allow you choose what you publish.

Foursquare already allowed you to use Facebook Connect to login to the site and find friends using both sites so the latest feature is just the next step in an ongoing Foursquare/Facebook love in.

What’s Foursquare? Their website doesn’t really explain it! Anyone…?

Seen this page? It sums it up quite well You basically visit places and check in at the location so friends see where you are, but you also leave tips at places you visit. If you’re in an area of a city, you can open up Foursquare and you can see what your friends say about a place. Definitely something that gets more useful the more you and your mates use it.
