Modern Warfare 2An EA developer has slammed Modern Warfare 2′s controversial airport terror scene declaring it “pretty awful”. So no similar ideas for the Medal of Honor reboot then?

Matt Turner, producer of the hardly peaceful Army of Two, says: “For me personally, I think the alarm bells went off in a big way on that one because it was out of context. When the footage leaked, thousands upon thousands of people saw it not knowing what it was.”

Turner claims EA would not follow a similarly controversial line. “We wouldn’t have done it,” he says. “It’s designed to show atrocities. It’s pretty awful and if you fail to see that side of it then you’re not getting the whole picture.”

However, Turner did admit that Infinity Ward had “guts” to include the level in Modern Warfare 2. It seems the game’s No Russian airport terror level will be debated for years to come. We’ve had the politicians, now the fellow games developers. Who’ll weigh in next on the issue? Has anyone asked Cheryl Cole?

It seems OK for Hollywood blockbuster movie’s to include seens of terror and mass killing of innocents, so why slam Infinity Ward for doing the same in a game, and besides you don’t have to slay all those nice people trying to make a summer get away.
