LG 3D TVLG 3D TV models will go mainstream next year, the South Korean company has proudly predicted. LG expects to be dishing out hundreds of thousands of tellies with depth perception, and to do that, it’s promising a fill-line up of models for next year.

Like Asian rivals such as Panasonic and Sony, LG sees 3D TV as the next big space to cash in on, and at a press conference today, it declared it will sell as many as 400,000 3D goggleboxes next year, and a whopping 3.4million in 2011.

To do that, LG says it’ll be expanding its LG 3D TV line from the one 47-inch offering aimed at businesses, to a “full line-up of 3D TV models”, which will be unveiled in the second half of next year, Reuters reports.

We’ve been wondering for a while whether Sky might have jumped the gun with its 3D plans with so few 3D TVs on the market, but with such a big player in the HDTV market looking to make it into every living room next year, perhaps it’s timed it just right.

The new LG 3D TV models might not be unveiled until well into 2010, but you can bet we’ll be seeing something from them at CES next month, and we’ll be there live to bring you it.
