A new version of Facebook for Android has hit the Android marketplace. It adds the seriously important ability to browse your friends’ profiles and photo albums in the app. In the previous version of Facebook for Android, you’d have found yourself kicked out into the browser.
Being able to browse photos and profiles in the app means it’s now much easier to zoom in on photos, leave comments and share them. However Android’s Facebook app is still lagging in some other areas – you can’t access your inbox to send or receive messages and Events aren’t supported yet.
However, don’t worry too much Android fans, it took over a year for the iPhone app to get Event and the development of the Android version seems to be moving a lot faster. The original version was only released in September.
