Is this the Apple Tablet we’ve all be waiting for? No, we don’t honestly think this is the real deal, but it’s a very convincing fake, and more than worthy of a look. It seems to pack in everything we’ve been hoping for, from accelerometer support to a smart iPhone-influenced interface, with added extras. Read on, and see the full video.

Posted by French site nowhereelse.fr the Mac Tablet mockup looks thin, light, and with a stonking great touchscreen serving up hugely interactive websites.

Coverflow is present, as you’d expect, and while there’s no multitouch in evidence the video shows a long press producing pop-up menus, and accelerometer control for screen rotation and ‘flick’ gestures.

Gawp at the video, and we guarantee you’ll want one. If Steve Jobs and co produce something along the lines of this Apple Tablet, we’ll be first in line to snap one up. See you at the front of the queue.

Haha. No way that’s real. Nice try though – one of the better mocks I’ve seen. I watched it three times. They’ve even got the reflections of the left hand correct. You’re on the money though. No multitouch = not the Tablet Mac

Seconded. Motion carried. Now… who’s going to tell Jobs?

    this is fake. amateurs!

Fake for sure, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call the people behind it amateurs. It looks classy, I’d buy one at a low enough pricepoint.

If Apple produces a tablet along these lines, it won’t be cheap. It’s essentially a MacBook Air without the keyboard, and with a touchscreen instead. That’s enough for it to have a hefty price tag slapped on it, I reckon.

Oh yeah, I didn’t say that it would be cheap. I’d like to be, but it won’t be. And capacitive displays at that size will cost a pretty penny too, more so than the Air’s display I’d have thought.
