Cool-erWe told you a Cool-er 3G could be on the cards for next year for over the air book buying, but now Interead, the start-up behind the little e-reader that could, has confirmed it, along with at least one more digital tome to follow too. Read on for the full details.

Although it’s not come clean with precise details or pictures, Interead has confirmed it’s inked a deal with US network AT&T to provide a Cool-er 3G e-reader for 2010, and will be sold by shopping sites like QVC.

Interead has also revealed that Wi-Fi Cool-er e-readers will arrive next year, as promised, for hotspot literature nicking, and to go with these new wireless Cool-er models, it’s signed a deal with NewspaperDirect, the company behind the tablet slaying iPhone app. Soon, you’ll be able to download hundreds of different newspapers and magazines to the new Cool-er line, and even the current Cool-er over 3G.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on a screen update for the new Cool-er e-readers – we’ve been told before that a colour, touchscreen display was on the drawing board – but we’ve reached out to Interead’s CEO and spokespeople for more details and word on a UK launch, so stay tuned for an update.
