3View3View’s not just splashed its Freeview HD set top box with a lick of white paint and hoped for the best. To get it to stand out, it’s stuffed in an internet connection too, to pump through Auntie on demand. Has BBC iPlayer and ITV Player on Freesat got you thinking a dish is the way to go? You might want to check out 3View’s little white box first.

We’d actually consider the 3View box based on its looks alone, and its ability to suck in HD broadcast signals with its dual tuners and record them on its 320GB hard drive.

But the 3View box does more too, hooking up to the net to pull down BBC iPlayer, YouTube videos, Facebook, Twitter and any page you like via a web browser. 3View even promises Hulu access, when it launches in the UK, and there’ll be an optional keyboard and mouse combo to avoid long URL typing on a remote control.

Freeview HD goes live

3View says the 3View box is available to retailers now, with a target of March for release on shop shelves, so fingers crossed, by the time your area gets Freeiew HD, it could already be on sale.

Out March | £TBC | 3View
