Following on from the news that Sony Ericsson has pushed out an update for the Satio and Aino handsets comes word that they’ve been welcomed back into the shops.
There’s still no official explanation as to what exactly the update brings other than “improved handset speeds and battery usage” and that it “fixes previous software issues”.
But what ever magic it weaves, it’s certainly enough for Phones 4u which is putting the Satio back on its shelves in time for Christmas.
Scott Hooton, Phones 4u trading director said: “Phones 4u are pleased to confirm that all Sony Ericsson Satio stock has been flashed with new software and recommenced trading on Saturday 4th December. Sales of the Satio were strong over the weekend and we’re confident that the device will continue to perform strongly throughout the Christmas trading period.”
So it looks like Sony Ericsson staff will be getting their Christmas party after all. Phew.
