Mewbox, the music download service that launched with the Archos 5 Android slate since launch, has gone live for all Android phones. Whether you’ve got a spanking new Milestone, or an aging T-Mobile G1, you can now download tracks to own on the move for the very first time.
You’ve always been able to nab songs on the go on the iPhone via iTunes, and you can load up your ‘Berry in the field with 7digital, but now Android gets in on the action with the full launch of DRM-free peddler Mewbox. It’s actually powered by 7digital too, but we’re not fussed about who’s behind it so long as all 4million tracks come with no restrictions (Yes, we’re looking at you, Nokia).

From a quick glance, we like the bright, friendly look of Mewbox, as well as the blog it maintains, mixing in news about the software with top track picks. Even if you haven’t got an Android phone, it’s well worth a quick click over to Mewbox’s site, as the service is offering a free download (89MB) of some of its favourite songs to keep too.
Mewbox is out now for any European Android owners, but it’s not on the Android Market, so grab the download from the Mewbox homepage here.
