Time Inc has teamed up with the creative gurus at The Wonderfactory to produce an incredible demo of how print mag Sports Illustrated would look tablet stylee. Wondering if it’s all gridiron and baseball or whether the famous Sports Illustrated swimwear models feature? Well, take a look see for yourself.

So what does this all mean? With Time Inc and Condé Nast (check out the Wired demo here) both going to the bother of demoing magazines on tablets, the Apple tablet must surely be coming sooner rather than later. The trouble is, Apple is keeping schtum about when or indeed if a tablet is coming.

These demos are super cool. At a time when traditional publishers are struggling to get advertisers on board and are losing readership in their thousands, the tablet could prove to be the saviour.

It’s been a busy week in the world of tablet news. Firstly we brought you the sad tale of the CrunchPad and its unfortunate demise. Sorry about that, we hope you weren’t too depressed. But we did bring you better news with the latest on the Apple’s tablet trademark victory. And now, with this exciting footage, we’re sure you’ll agree that it really has been an emotional, tablet-based rollercoaster.
