The Sim2 Mico 50 is a 1080p projector with more than just plenty of pixel power under the bonnet: it uses LEDs to blast out a razor sharp, vibrant image on your white wall and it’s just gone on sale in the UK.
You might remember Sim2 for its stunning LED backlit Solar TV line launched earlier this year, but the Italian company is a dab hand at projectors too and its latest, the Sim2 Mico 50, could be its finest yet.
Instead of a single chip DLP inside you’ll find red, blue and green LEDs which can flick on and off at insane speeds, without any burnout. Sim2 says they’ll last for a full 100,000 hours – that’s 11 years of continuous viewing – while delivering a contrast ratio of 100,000:1.

The Sim2 Mico 50 also boasts two HDMI ports, so it’ll juggle a Blu-ray player and console at the same time for some seriously lavish gaming, and since lamps no longer need to warm up or cool down you can just flick it on and start playing.
Nice, eh? Now brace yourself. All that fine, sharp colour will set you back a big chunk of change: the Sim2 Mico 50 may be on sale now but you’re looking at a big, round £15,000 to get your mitts on one. Still, consider that decade long lifespan an investment and start scrimping for one while admiring our official photo gallery right here.
