Honda P-NUT future super coupe unveiled!

The Honda P-NUT may look like Homer Simpson’s disastrous bubble car, and sound even more unpleasant, but the Japanese auto titan is hedging that this is what we’re going to be driving around cities of the future in. And with some of the natty tech installed inside, we’re not going to argue! Read on for all the details and pictures.

The Honda P-NUT (Or Personal-Neo Urban Transport) has just been unveiled at the LA Auto Show, and it’s certainly…striking. It’s been designed so as to be “ideal for use in cities and tight urban areas,” according to Honda, which means it can fit into small parking gaps in plain speak.

We’re not sold on the exterior, but we’re loving what’s going on inside the Honda P-NUT however: in the interior you’ll find a central driving seat with some serious leg room and a modular engine slot so you can switch out your leccy power source for plain old petrol.

Best of all though, the Honda P-NUT uses the windshield as a display for navigation, and can even deal out picture in picture views from the rear camera.

Tragically, as with almost all the best cars, there are no plans to put the Honda P-NUT into production. Still, get a look at this Jetsons mobile up close in our gallery and see what the future heralds.
