The Oregon 550t comes preloaded with world maps and features a built in 3-axis tilt electronic compass that finds your position quickly. It’ll even throw up information and descriptions on nearby terrain, with info on its difficulty.
Interestingly Garmin has stuffed a 3.2 megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom into it. Its 850 MB of memory gives ample space to store your Michael Palin-esque photo memories.
