audioBoo: Browser booing on its way!

audioBoo - Browser VersionaudioBoo is coming to a browser near you. That is, providing that your browser of choice is Firefox or Safari, although it might work on IE, but it may not. Confused? Read on for more info.

The audio blogging service, which allows for sound clips (or ‘boos’ – get it?) of up to five minutes was previously only available to iPhone users and, only recently, Android users too.

Browser Boo will open up the service to a much wider market. Booers will have the opportunity to record or upload boos with ease, from inside their browser. audioBoo has said that it will remove any copyrighted sounds though, so no uploading your favourite songs. Unless your favourite song is by an unsigned band without any copyright protection.

Once you’ve done a boo you can add pictures or location tags with Google Maps. You can even tweet your boos if you like, or embed them on other sites.

Developers are planning a launch date of tomorrow although their blog states we may even see it go live today. At present, it has only been fully developed for Firefox and Safari but audioBoo says it could possibly work on IE and that any IE bug fixes are first priority on its list of things to do. There was no mention of Chrome sadly.
