Sony Ericsson Pureness unboxed!

We’ve snatched a Sony Ericsson Pureness from an exclusive boutique to unbox for you right here, right now. Want to see it coming out of its posh packaging? Read on for the pics!

Perhaps it’s because we’re looking at it in daylight, but we’re still baffled by the Sony Ericsson Pureness’s screen. It’s translucent, stunning, and completely impractical, just like the T9 keypad below it, which slowly lights up when pressed.

Sony Ericsson Pureness: hands-on photogasm!

But, as the phone’s designer told us at launch, the Sony Ericsson Pureness has been designed as a second phone that you’ll wield at night, and to that end, the SIM card slot is easily accessible from the side. With a hand behind it, or dark background, the screen becomes very readable, and we can see this proving an excellent icebreaker in a nightclub or “trendy winebar”.

Brace yourself – to get this conversation starter, you’ll need to be minted. The Sony Ericsson Pureness costs a full £500 – and that’s for a phone with a basic web browser and little more (OK, Pacman). But hey, for your money, you’ll get a real headturning handset, that swanky box, and two different sets of earphones (regular and in-ear). Get a good look at the Sony Ericsson Pureness in our unboxing gallery right here while we wait for the sequel.
