Publicity pictures for Asus netbooks always show a large shift key on the left hand side of the keyboard, but when I check them out in shops they always have a tiny key with a slash key next to it. Seems like a small point, but like most two finger typists I tend to use my left hand for the shift key and its small size means I am always accidentally switching on caps lock. Can you confirm that production models on sale in UK will have proper keyboard? And why are the keyboards on Asus publicity shots always different to the ones in shops in the UK? Its a drag if you buy something on the internet and find out its slightly different.

The model we have here has a large left hand shift key, but like other recent Eees, a small right shift key that rests on the upper inside of the Up button, rather than one that stretches to the edge of the board. This should be what ships in the UK – those differences are down to different typing conventions and SKUs sold across different countries.
